Makinde Vows Party Leaders Will Not Allow Anybody To Destroy PDP For Another Party
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has vowed that leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will not allow anybody to hold the party hostage for another party to be in power in 2027.
Makinde, at the inauguration of a newly built PDP state secretariat at Oke-Ado, Ibadan, on Tuesday, asserted he was aligned with some individuals towards 2023 for victory of another party in the presidential election. He declared that he has repented and such arrangement will not happen again.
The governor said he had absolute trust in the nation's judiciary, assuring the court will do the needful in the pending cases.
He was optimistic that the judiciary, being the last hope of the common man, would give justice to the PDP.
Governor Makinde handed over documents of the new structure, named after the former PDP State Chairman, Alhaji Omokunmi Mustapha, to the PDP National Chairman, Kabiru Turaki.
Turaki appreciated Governor Makinde for the edifice, and his efforts towards the growth of the party.
