Imo Government Threatens To Impose Indefinite Lockdown
Following the continuous disobedience to the social distance rule as part of measure to curb the spread of COVID-19, the government of Imo state has vowed to impose an indefinite total lockdown on the state if the trend continues.
The governor who spoke through the commissioner of information Honorable Daclan Emelumba said the people of the state need to take the preventive measures seriously to avoid the spread of the virus and not push him into taken more stringent measures.
Also speaking on the issue of non-payment salaries of workers in various parastatals in the state the commissioner said the government notices that many of them have failed to do the needful, which is the submission of their BVN number and account number.
