ADC Threatens Legal Action Against Unauthorized Public Statements.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) loyal to Nafiu Bala Gombe, has legal action against any unauthorized persons making public statements on behalf of the party.
The party specifically warned Bolaji Abdullahi to stop issuing press statements or making public comments in the name of the party.
In a statement signed by the party’s National Chairman, Nafi’u Bala Gombe, and Board of Trustees Secretary, Rufus Ikanmi, the leadership said any continued unauthorized use of the party’s name and logo would attract legal action.
The party advised anyone that intends to join the ADC should follow the proper procedure by registering at his or her political ward.
The statement also warned that any dealings involving the party’s accounts by unauthorised persons, including lending, withdrawals or transfers, would be treated as financial misconduct and economic sabotage.
The ADC leadership further announced that the Board of Trustees and National Working Committee have notified deposit money banks and other financial institutions to halt all transactions on the party’s accounts involving members of a coalition claiming to act on behalf of the party.
According to the leadership, any such transactions would be regarded as financial crimes and prosecuted in line with relevant financial regulations and criminal laws.
