IGP Egbetokun Strengthens Global Ties, As 3 Nigerian Officers Graduate At the Abu Dhabu Police College

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, reiterated the passion and commitment of the Nigerian Police Force to international capacity building of its personnel to strengthen overall adherence to global law enforcement and operational response capabilities.

 

Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, Force Headquarters, Abuja, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a statement on Friday in Abuja, indicated that the Inspector-General of Police, represented by the Commissioner of Police, INTERPOL, Lagos Annex, CP Bode Ojajuni, at the graduation ceremony of three Nigeria Police Officers at the Abu Dhabi Police College, UAE, reassured of the Force commitment to capacity building of officers to meet modern security challenges.  

 

Hundeyin highlighted that the International Association of Chiefs of Police, IACP, UAE Ministry of Interior, Police Academy Exchange Programme, is a collaborative effort between the IACP and the UAE MOI. Through the Programme, 52 Police officers, representing 44 police agencies from 35 countries, were enrolled in a four-month basic academy training programme at the Abu Dhabi Police College, UAE. Among the graduates were DSP Abdullah Yusuf, ASP Faith Asigidi and Inspector Noah Joseph, all from the INTERPOL Bureau of the Nigeria Police Force.

 

The FPRO said that the ceremony was attended by Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohammed Al Nahyah, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Emirati government officials, Police representatives and global dignitaries from participating countries.
