Edo state governor Monday Okpebholo has given the 18 local government council Chairmen in the state, 48 hours to submit their statements of account.

The governor who asked them to submit it to the Assets Verification Committee through the office of the secretary to the state government, said the statement of accounts should be effective from 4th of September 2023 till date.

He promised to work closely with the chairmen for the betterment of the state by ensuring accountability for the success of his administration.

The governor warned that he will not tolerate any act of negligence of duty and indiscipline on the part of the council Chairmen.
