Ahead of the September 21st Governorship election in Edo State, the state governor Godwin Obaseki says he is pleased with the assurance by the inspector general of police Kayode Egbetokun in providing adequate security during the elections.

Governor Obaseki made the disclosure during a stakeholders meeting at the government house in Benin city the Edo State capital.

The governor who went into the meeting over the failure of his party to sign the peace accord, said the renewed commitment of the inspector general of police and the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has built his trust ahead Saturday's election.
