Deltans protest Omo-Agege's suspension

Protesters from the Delta central senatorial district have staged a protest to the National Assembly on Wednesday, April 25, to register their displeasure over the suspension of the senator representing the zone, Ovie Omo-Agege.
The demonstrators who came in their numbers say they reject the move as it violates the people's right of adequate representation in the National Assembly.
They are demanding for the reinstatement of the suspended lawmaker as they insist the reason for his suspension is not enough to compel a serving senator to vacate his seat.
The protesters threatened to come in their numbers to represent their people should the leadership of the Senate fail to heed to their demand, as they cannot be deprived their right in the decision making process.
It would be recalled that the upper chamber of the National Assembly recently suspended senator Omo-Agege for his role against the Senate's amendment of the electoral act and the INEC election sequence.
