Delta schools resume to empty classrooms

Empty classrooms and few students were the order of the day as Delta state primary and secondary schools resume for another session.

Some of the schools visited decide to merge students in one classroom for a general lecture to commence in case of an emergency visit by the education commissioner who had promised to visit schools in Warri metropolis.

Addressing students on the need to be obedient, the Chief Inspector of Education in Warri read the riot act, as a teacher spoke on the need for parents to send their children to school.

The commissioner for Education Patrick Ukah had promised to discipline students without concrete excuse who fail to turn up in school during today’s resumption.
