Delta government blames communities
The Delta state commissioner for Oil and Gas, Mr. Mofe Pira has blamed oil producing communities in the state, for not providing an enabling environment for oil companies to thrive.
Pira disclosed this at Isoko as part of the state government sensitization program in bringing back investors to the state.
Addressing a gathering of community leaders and youths, the oil and Gas commissioner spoke on the hostile environment. He laments over the drastic reduction in oil and Gas investment, while the commissioner for urban renewal spoke on the need for economic activities to thrive.
The sensitization program according to the state government will be continued until it gets to all local government councils in the state.
