Benue State commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, (NDLEA), Esther Musa, has described the steady reduction of drug related abuses in the state to, its sensitization and enlightenment outreach to about 132 outreaches including schools, parks market. Religious houses among others in the state 

The State NDLEA Boss, who stated that the command is winning the war against drug abuse and other prohibited substances compare to last year, said it has convicted 28 suspects, counseled 205 persons and rehabilitated 35 drug addicts within June 2024 to June 2025.

While it plans to continue its sensitization campaign ahead of tomorrow's 2025 International Drug Day, the State commander, Musa, said large amount of these substances such as cannabis sativa, tramadol. Amphetamine, Velion five were seized totaling One point nine million kilograms about one tin. Meanwhile June 26th has been earmarked annually as International Drug Day. Set aside to raise awareness campaign against the dangers of drug abuse.
