The Lagos State court on Special Offences and Domestic Violence has once again adjourned the rape case of Olanrewaju Omiyinka popularly called Baba Ijesha.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to a six-count charge bordering on the indecent treatment of a child, sexual assault, attempted sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault by penetration. 

Galaxy's Valerie Chioma reports that at the court sitting on Monday, popular comedienne, Princess Damilola Adekoya testified to how she met the embattled actor in 2008 and how they became friends.

She further revealed that Baba Ijesha was able to gain access to her home and sexually assaulted her foster daughter twice when she was seven years old.

Princess tendered a CCTV footage of the actor indecently touching her daughter when she was 14 years old and Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo accepted it as an exhibit. 

The case was further adjourned to Tuesday 27th July 2021.
