Anambra police command recovers 3 more bodies of boat accident victims
The Anambra police command says it has recovered three more corpses of the boat accident victims which include actors and actresses. The command image maker Tochukwu Ikenga made this known in a statement made available to our correspondent.
According to the police, two of the three corpses were recovered last night, while a third was recovered Friday morning when the tide washed it by the bank of the river.
All the bodies have been deposited at the hospital mortuary in Asaba, while the president of the Guild of Actors and actresses have been notified of the recovery.
The Anambra police commissioner Aderemi Adeoye urged all water commuters to be safety conscious and avoid behavior that may jeopardize their safety and that of others while on transit on water.
He promised expedited investigation into the sad accident that claimed the lives of five actors, while also commending the commands marine unit and it's commander for dedication to duty.
