The Anambra state police command says it has commenced manhunt for suspected fraudsters, captured in a viral video swapping an ATM card belonging to a 58-year-old woman.

Police spokesperson in Anambra state Tochukwu Ikenga in a statement, said the command has intercepted the video which happened in Nnewi at a commercial bank where a female and a male suspect swapped a handicapped woman card before withdrawing the sum of two million naira in parts.

According to the police, having conducted its investigation into the incident, the command called on anyone with useful information, especially residents of Nnewi and environs to help in identifying the suspects for possible arrest and prosecution.

The Anambra police commissioner CP Nnaghe Obono has contacted the victim for necessary information that will aid the investigation as he has directed the command intelligence unit to immediately commence investigation to identify the suspect and bring her criminal gang to book.
