Akpabio denies involvement in the sack of Aboo
Senate President, Goodwill Akpabio has denied masterminding removal of Senator Elisha Abbo from the 10th Senate.
Abbo had accused Akpabio of plotting his ouster from the Senate after kicking against his emergence as Senate President.
In an interview with reporters on Monday in Abuja, Abbo specifically mentioned Senator Orji Uzor Kalu (APC Abia North) as the next target for removal from the Senate.
Reacting to the allegation, Akpabio through his media aide, said he has no reason to witch-hunt any of his colleagues.
The Senate President expressed regret that Senator Aboo actually mentioned his name as the brain his travail noting that, he was only playing to the gallery.
He implored Aboo to take the judgement of the Appeal Court in good faith and move on saying he is not the court of law nor has power to remove any Democratically Elected official from office.
Akpabio maintained that the Court of Appeal across the country decides cases based on the provisions of the Electoral Act and evidence advanced by petitioners.
Tha Senate President said he has no reason to witch-hunt any of his colleagues for whatsoever reasons.
