Again, Buhari absent at FEC meeting
President Muhammadu Buhari was on Wednesday, April 26, conspicuously absent at the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
The meeting which was presided over by the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo had about 20 ministers in attendance as at the time journalists were leaving.
The cabinet had awaited the president's arrival until the State House Chief of Protocols suddenly stepped in at 11.00am and whispered to Osinbajo about the conspicuous absence of the President.
To no avail, a security officer had also anxiously stood behind the President's official seat in expectation of Buhari's attendance.
This appears to be the third time the President will be absent at the meeting since his return from his medical vacation to the United Kingdom.
