Adebutu Visits Police HQ, dismisses vote buying, money laundering allegations

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Ogun state, Hon. Ladi Adebutu, has dismissed vote buying and money laundering allegations leveled against him by the Federal government.

Adebutu spoke after he honoured police invitation at the state police command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, the state capital.

Galxay reports that Adebutu, who recently returned to the country after an eight-month medical vacation abroad and four others are facing four-count charge, bothering on criminal conspiracy, bribery, and two counts of undue influence which violates sections 121 and 127 of the Electoral Act 2022 at the court.

Speaking to newsmen after the visit, Adebutu said he was at the police headquarters to honour police invitation, explaining that he was at the command to clear the All Progressives Congress, APC frivolous petitions against him.

On money laundering accusation, Adebutu noted that, he cannot be charged for using his personal wealth to better the lives of people through economic Empowerment.
