Delta Resident React To Minister's Comment Over Animal Skin
Reactions have continued to trail the comment by the minister for Agriculture Mr. Akinwunmi Adesina calling on Nigerians to reconsider the consumption of animal skin, popularly known as Ponmo because of the economic gains in using it for leather.
Our correspondent Dele Fasan spoke with some residents and traders in Warri Delta state, who are seeking answers on what to eat should the government ban the consumption of animal skin.
Meanwhile, animal skins which many Nigerians regard as meat for the poor and the middle class, is said to be on the high demand in markets across the country because of its low fat nature.
