The popular Balogun market on Lagos Island was gutted by fire today January 12th.

According to eyewitness reports four houses, five plazas and a Diamond Bank building in the area were brought down by fire.

The reason for the fire is not known yet, however men of the fire service are as of now there attempting to put off the fire.
