Edo Special Security Raid Kidnappers Hideouts, Arrest 2 Suspects
A combined team of the Edo State Special Security Squad against kidnapping and Cultism, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, raided suspected kidnappers hideouts deep within the forests of Amah community, Etsako West Local Government Area.
The operation, which was supervised by the principal security officer to the Edo State Governor, Saturday Okoh, led to the discovery of a hideout and arrest of two suspects.
Operatives of the Edo State Special Security Outfit, local vigilante members, and men of the Nigeria police, in the early hours of the morning, combed the forests for several hours, before arriving at a house built with mud where two foot soldiers of a notorious kidnap suspect, known as BEST, were arrested.
The spokesperson of the outfit, Eribo Enwata, as well as the Zonal Commander, revealed the operation leading to the arrest.
Two of the suspects, who were arrested after their leader escaped, claimed they are from Plateau State and are 12 in the hideout.
The gang leader of the suspects, popularly known as BEST, has been declared wanted by the task force, as well as the Nigeria Police.
