The Edo State Government has flagged off the second phase of the annual 2026 farming season, with the distribution of farm inputs and equipment to farmers across the eighteen local government areas of the state.

The initiative is aimed at ensuring food security, while also encouraging people to embrace farming.

At the flag off, the Secretary to the Edo State government, Musa Ikhilor, said the initiative became necessary because food is a necessity to every household.
