CBN releases $240 million fresh forex
As a part of it effort to make liquidity available in the foreign exchange market, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has released $90 million to meet the requests for basic travel allowance, personal travel allowance, medicals and school fees.
The acting Director of Corporate Communications, Isaac Okorafor in a statement that the apex bank has reached a decision to make the sale of BDC available only on Tuesdays in order to reduce logistics challenges, adding that the CBN will from now on sell $10,000 only low-end forex dealers per week.
The statement also disclosed the Central Bank Of Nigeria also offers $150 million to authorized Forex dealers in the interbank auction window.
