DPR warns marketers against patronising touts
The Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) has warned petroleum marketers and stakeholders in the oil and gas business to desist from patronising touts or engaging middlemen in securing approvals or on any transactions with the agency.
The Director, Department of Petroleum Resources, Mordecai Ladan made this known during the first annual general meeting and anniversary of the DPR Abeokuta field office.
Ladan who was represented by his deputy in charge of North-East , Ali Idris said the agency organised the meeting in order to further move closer to the people and to sensitize them on some things that can make them do their jobs in safe and profitable ways.
On her part, the Operations Controller of the Abeokuta field office, Muinat Bello-Zagi highlighted some of the challenges confronting the agency and ways they have been able to tackle it in the area covered, urging stakeholders to continue to cooperate with DPR at all times.
