Coronavirus: Ogun confirms 2 new cases

Ogun state governor, Dapo Abiodun has confirmed two new cases of coronavirus at two locations of the state while he unveiled new measures aimed at managing and containing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic across the state.

According to him, the two new cases who are residents of Mowe in Obafemi Owode and Yewa South local government areas of the state have no history of overseas travels and have been moved to one of the isolation centres in the state.

Addressing journalists at his residence in Iperu, the governor, Dapo Abiodun said that the state has acquired a mobile testing laboratory to aid testing for potential cases in the state and special new packages for state health workers in front line of duty.

While commending residents of the state for their cooperation and steadfastness during the stay at home period, he has however warned against politicising of the ongoing distribution of the stimulus packages being distributed to the aged and vulnerable residents of the state
