Inspite of protests that have allegedlly shutdown commercial activities in the state,  Kano State Governor, Mr Rabiu Kwankwaso,  has today  presented a letter of appointment to the  former Central Bank Governor,  Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, as new Emir  of Kano.


The new  Emir   is  said to have been in the  Government House  where there is enough security to protect him following the protests  by youths for the second day  against his  emergence as Emir on Sunday.
