Kate Henshaw's House Gutted By Fire
Sad news for Nollywood veteran actress Kate Henshaw; her beautiful Lekki Phase 1 mansion in Lagos was gutted by flames on Thursday, June 26th. The fire alleged to have started from an electric surge began at 3pm, and neighbors and passersby struggled to put it out.
Henshaw who was on location shooting for an upcoming series to air on Africa Magic, was notified about the incident via a phone call. The actress rushed down to her residence, accompanied by other cast members.
In 2008 Henshaw won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Henshaw was born in Cross River State, Nigeria, the oldest of four children. After completing her primary and secondary school in Lagos and Calabar, she spent one year at the University of Calabar reading remedial studies, and then majored in Medical Microbiology at the School of Medical Lab Science, LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital) in Lagos. Henshaw worked at the Bauchi State General hospital.
Thankfully no life was lost, just damage to the property.
