Hollywood actor Ben Affleck who has acted in dozens of blockbuster films like Good Will Hunting (1997), Armageddon (1998), Daredevil (2003), Gone Girl (2014), and his wife, Jennifer Garner also a Hollywood heavyweight who had the lead role in US series Alias (2001-2006) have announced their divorce after ten years of marriage.

Their joint statement which was released to the press reads:

After much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to divorce. 

'We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this difficult time.

'This will be our only comment on this private, family matter. Thank you for understanding.'

The couple have three children together,  Violet 9, Seraphina 6 and Samuel 3.

Ben and Jennifer’s marriage has been hit with speculations of a rift for months, sources blame Ben’s gambling addiction as a key factor in the divorce.
