Amir Khan has reacted angrily on Twitter to what he perceives as disrespectful treatment by Floyd Mayweather, after the PFP King gave Khan the runaround over a proposed May 3rd date and chose Argentinian Marcos Maidana as his opponent instead. Mayweather is now goading Khan into a fight with Adrien Broner on the undercard, dangling the carrot of a fight with himself should Khan win.

Khan isn’t dead set against facing Broner. He spoke with Sky Sports recently. “A few names have been put to me - even someone like Broner would be a great fight for me.

“The fight would be held in America and possibly be on a Floyd card as well. But I have a contract with Showtime, so I have my own television deal in the US.

“More than likely the fight will probably be in America. There are a few names, I’m going to sit down with Golden Boy and my team.”
