Gov. Ihedioha flags-off 13th Imo sport festival
As the 2019 festive period gathers momentum, the Imo state governor Emeka Ihedioha on Friday, the 13th December flagged off the Imo sports festival for the year.
The flag-off exercise took place at the Grasshoppers Stadium in Owerri, the state capital saw the likes of ex superstars such as Kanu Nwankwo, Chioma Ajunwa, among others in attendance.
The governor, who expresses delight over the massive turn out, charged participants in various sports feature in the festival to take advantage of the moment and prepare ahead of the national sports festival in Edo state come 2022.
Speaking further governor, again stated his commitment towards sports development in the state, I promise to continue the support in high gear until Imo attains it full potentials in sport across the globe.
In his remark, the chairman Imo sports commission Mr Fan Ndubuoke thanked the governor for rejuvenating the states stop sector after a long painful and pitiable condition it finds itself over the years.
