The Senate, on Thursday, confirmed the appointment of Usman Dakingari, as non career Ambassador, and Ambassador Yusuf Ismail, as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria, requested by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, Senator Abubakar Bello, presenting the Committee's report to the Senators, said the two nominees were thoroughly screened and were found suitable for the positions nominated for.

The Senate, thereafter, dissolved into the committee of the whole, led by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, where the report of the committee was considered and approved.

Speaking after the session, the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced the Senate approval of the two nominees.
