Officials of the Nigerian Police sealed the national secretariat of the ruling All Progressives Congress today, due to the lingering leadership crisis in the party.

Recall that following the suspension of the National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, the issues of who takes over as acting National Chairman has almost torn the party apart.

Correspondent Nnabuchi Okey Nnabuchi who visited the party secretariat said the gate of the entrance to the secretariat was under lock and key.

Although none of the police officers at the gate agreed to speak on reasons they locked the place, Nnabuchi gathered that the IGP had scheduled a meeting with some of the founding members of the party.

Recall that the Appellate Court sitting in Abuja last week upheld the suspension of the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

It is no longer news that the conflicting rulings by two courts over the status of Adams Oshiomhole as the chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the crisis afterwards, compelled the police to seal off the party’s national secretariat.
