Lawmakers read riot act
Members of the Delta state House of Assembly committee on Women affairs have called on the commissioner for women affairs and social development, to ensure that the ministry live up to expectations because of the sensitive nature of the ministry.
This was the deliberation during the members' oversight function visit to the commissioner and staff of the ministry.
Speaking on the women affairs ministry, the committee chairman Hon. Esievo Orezi spoke on the need for the ministry to live up to expectations.
In her response, the commissioner for women affairs and social development Omatsola Williams spoke on the giant strides of the ministry.
In attendance at the visit were lawmakers from the women affairs committee as well as civil servants from the ministry.
