Police Storm Teenage Prostitutes Hidden Brothel In Lagos, Rescue 12
The Police stormed a hidden brothel devoted to teenage prostitution in Lagos.
The Lagos State Police Command in the operation, dismantled a major human trafficking and force labour cartel which specialized in recruiting the teenage girls from their villages for prostitution in Lagos.
The police took away 12 victims, who were placed on intensive care and rehabilitation, while a principal suspect in the custody of the police.
The human trafficking cartel lures innocent young girls between ages of 13 and 16 from Delta and Benue states to Lagos under the guise of providing jobs for them. On arrival, they force the teenage girls into prostitution at an hotel in Idumota Market, Lagos Island.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Tijani Fatai, led the team that stormed the five storey building, which accommodates an unnamed hotel, that has hidden club house and several chalets where the girls are forced provide sex services to men at a price.
CP Tijani said the Command shall deploy every necessary mechanism to apprehend the operators of the centre, who are currently at large.
