NDLEA, Police Constitute Joint Action Against Drug Abuse, Traffick In Ogun

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Ogun State Command, and the Ogun State Police Command have constituted joint action to contain drug abuse and illegal trafficking in the state.

The joint action initiative was construed when the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Police Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, was on familiarization visit to the NDLEA State Commander, CN Tijjani Rabe, at the Command Headquarters.

CP Bode Ojajuni emphasized that the visit was two-fold: to familiarize himself with the Command and to reaffirm his commitment to sustained collaboration in tackling drug abuse and illicit trafficking across Ogun State.

Commander Tijjani Rabe expressed deep appreciation to the Commissioner for the visit. He also emphasised the significance of the engagement and stressed the importance of strong collaboration among security agencies in the effort to combat drug abuse and illicit trafficking in Ogun State. He noted that effective collaboration remains critical in addressing drug-related crimes and enhancing public safety.

Commander Rabe further engaged the Commissioner on practical steps to strengthen coordination, improve intelligence sharing, and sustain joint enforcement operations. He stressed that drug trafficking and abuse continue to drive violent crime and require a unified, intelligence response.
