Wike speaks on UNIPORT crisis

 The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike  says the  peace being experienced at the  University of Port Harcourt campus  is as a result of government's intolerance to crimes and criminality.


Governor Wike  said this when members of the governing council of UNIPORT paid him a courtesy call at government house, Port Harcourt the Rivers state capital.

Wike declared that the state is one of the safest place to live and do business in Nigeria.

Governor Wike called on politicians to work in the interest of the masses and stop politicizing every situation in the state.

The 3rd chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, llyasu Bashar commended the governor for keeping the state peaceful following threats and post-election reactions.

Chairman of UNIPORT governing council, Professor Nsidere Chibo however, declared that the university has enjoyed good relationship with its host community, Choba.
