UNIOSUN demands Vice-Chancellor's removal
The non-academic unions of the Osun state university under the aegis of joint action committees have called for the removal of the University's vice chancellor of the Institution, professor Labo Popoola.
The staff made the demand at a protest staged at the state house of Assembly to register their grievances.
They accused the vice-chancellor of selected payment, breach of the peace, corruption and fraud.
Addressing the protesters, speaker of the Osun state house of Assembly, Najeem Salam represented by is deputy, Akintunde Adegboye called for calm and promised to look into the demands of the protesters.
