Supreme Court upholds Fubara's Elect
The supreme Court has upheld the election of Fubara Siminalayi Fubara as the Governor of Rivers State and dismissed the Appeal filed by Tonye Cole of the All Progressive Congress.
The Five man panel of Justice led by Justice Nwane Abaji, maintained that the Appeal by Tonye Cole lack merit and devoid of substance.

The Court in a Judgement presided over by Justice Kekere-Ekun and read by Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, resolved all issues raised in the appeal against the appellant.
Cole had challenged the election of Governor Fubara for the March 18 2023 governorship election conducted the Independent National Electoral Commission (Inec)
In the final results, Fubara polled a total of 302, 614 votes to defeat his closest opponent, Tonye Cole who scored 95, 274 votes.
