Speaker Asks Constituents to Communicate Their Expectations
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has urged Nigerians, particularly his constituents, to communicate their expectations for the 2025 budget, which President Bola Tinubu is set to present to the National Assembly on Tuesday.
Speaking during a meeting with members of the Zaria Educational Development Association, the Speaker announced plans for the establishment of four additional federal institutions in Zaria to complement the existing ones.
Abbas, who was in Zaria to inspect ongoing constituency projects, commission completed ones, and lay the foundation for new initiatives, revealed that a new Federal College of Education would soon be established following the upgrade of the existing college into a Federal University of Education. Other planned institutions include a state-of-the-art College of Health Sciences, a National Open University campus, and a College of Legal Studies.
The Speaker highlighted the significance of the new institutions in enhancing Zaria’s educational infrastructure and providing essential resources for the region. He also noted that 116 primary and secondary schools in the area are undergoing renovations, with further upgrades planned.
