Ajimobi harps on restructuring

Oyo state governor, Abiola Ajimobi has declared that the ongoing restructuring in the state civil service is meant to weed out those that are not fit to be in the system and ensure quality service delivery.


Speaking at a capacity building programme for the senior staff in the state civil service, Ajimobi said over 16,000 senior staff in the state have benefited from both local and international training.

The workshop tagged 'Work Ethics and Attitudinal Change for Effective Service Delivery,'
According to Ajimobi is for positive change and for any establishment to progress, there must be constant training and retraining of the workforce.

He added that the training is part of the restructuring exercise being implemented for positive change by the present administration in the state noting that, the essence of the verification is to ensure that round pegs remain in round holes in the state civil service.

Ajimobi added that the aim of the training for positive change is to ensure positive mental attitude among the workforce towards the growth of the pacesetter state adding that his administration in the last four years has trained over 16,000 senior staff of the publoc and civil service.

Earlier in his speech, the Head of Service, Mr. Soji Eniade, whose office organised the training, said to improve on the low attitude of workers, their must be constant orientation to prepare  the workers not only for today but for the future.

He assured that the junior staff in the public and Civil service will also benefited from the training which according to him is to reposition the civil service in the state.
