Reactions trail UTME registration exercise
The registration of the 2017/2018 Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has been generating mixed reactions. To some applicants, the new registration process is cumbersome.
The Board, however, is distancing itself from the several complaints some applicants have attributed to the registration; a development JAMB says will not be reversed.
For JAMB, it's business as usual; as it is expected to bring accountability and rewarding outcome to its operations.
Applicants in Ogun state, who spoke with Galaxy Tv news, despite commending the process, reserved comments about issuance of registration pins at designated banks.
JAMB registrar on his part, believed the new system would take care of any observed pitfall in due course. He however rules out any extension to the April 19th deadline for registration of applicants.
On the, mock examination, the JAMB boss said, it was to give soft landing to applicants.
The Board had registered about 40 per cent of expected applicants across the 650 accredited registration centres across the country; which to it, means the process had recorded huge success.
