Police Nab Syndicates Who Killed Policemen in Delta
The Delta state police command says it has arrested the syndicates responsible for the killing of two policemen at an eatery in Ughelli and another policeman on escort duty who was killed alongside a prince in Warri.
This was disclosed by the state police commissioner Muhammed Ali while parading seventy-one suspects arrested for various offences ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, cultism and other criminal offences.
CP Muhammed also said that arms and ammunition carted away from the killed policemen were also recovered during the operation led by the state police command tactical team.
Addressing newsmen at the command's headquarters in Asaba, the Delta police commissioner narrated how the policemen on special duty were attacked by the armed robbers.
He charged officers and men of the Delta state police command to maintain the tempo in ensuring that the state is safe for business.
Meanwhile, six kidnapped victims who were abducted and taken into the forest along the dreaded Warri/Sapele expressway were also rescued by the police in their resolve to keep the state free from kidnappers according to the Delta police commissioner.
