Police ban IPOB activities
Following the pronouncement by the Nigerian Army on the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), proscribed to be a terrorist group, the Anambra state police command has placed barn on IPOB activities of any form within the state.
Briefing journalists at the police headquarters in Awka the state capital the commissioner of police, Garba Umar said the command will no longer condone the group in the state and who so ever found associated with it will be arrested and prosecuted by the law.
While speaking further, Garba said the command is on alert in case of any fleeing members who may want to commence their recruitment and further activities in the state.
He however warns parents talk to their wards to distance themselves from the group and it activities.
