Police Arrest Fake Fibroid Drugs Dealer in Ogun

The Ogun State Police Command has announced the arrest of one Williams Adetunji, who is accused of selling unsafe and unapproved products he claimed could eliminate fibroids. Police picked him up following a petition filed by the law firm Roberts Rasaaq Agboke and Associates on behalf of a young woman who reportedly suffered serious harm after using the substances promoted by Adetunji.

Speaking with journalists in Abeokuta, a representative of the firm, Hassan Yakubu, said their client experienced severe health complications after using the products. He alleged that Adetunji had been producing and marketing the items without any medical qualifications, licenses, or regulatory approval.

Yakubu identified the products as Enervate Capsules and Tumorex, claiming they contained caustic soda and other unsafe chemicals. The law firm said it had petitioned the police in November, asking that Adetunji be arrested and prosecuted under relevant laws. Confirming the development, the Police Command’s spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the suspect is already in custody.
