Operatives of the Osun state police command have apprehended a 13 year old Indian hemp peddler renowned for chain distribution of illicit drugs in Osogbo, the state capital.

The commissioner of police, Fimihan Adeoye, said this during a press briefing at the state police headquarters in Osogbo. Adeoye said the 13 year old young boy who confessed to being an orphan was recruited by a drug farmer on a wage of 500 naira per day.

The Osun state police boss also announced the arrest of three different gangs of robbers at different flashpoints of the state affirming the command's readiness to fight crimes and criminals in the state.
