Oyo Monarch Says Insecurity Will Soon Be Over
Onigboho of Igboholand, Oba John Oyetola Bolarinwa, Ajagungbade 1 has assured citizens of Oyo State, especially the people of Oke-Ogun zone that kidnapping, killing and other security challenges rocking the state will soon be a thing of the past.
Oba Bolarinwa, who stated this when he paid a thank-you visit to the palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, said there had been a high-powered meeting among the traditional rulers of the Oke-Ogun region, the epicentre of Fulani banditry and kidnapping in the state, revealing that insecurity will be nipped in the bud across the state.
The monarch, who refused to divulge the details of the high-powered meeting owing to the sensitive nature of security, appreciated Oba Adetunji for his royal presence when he received the traditional beaded crown presented to him by Governor Seyi Makinde.
While welcoming Onigboho of Igboholand to his Ibadan palace, Oba Adetunji who appreciated the monarch's act of gratitude prayed for his long reign and peace in Igboho, Ibadan, Oyo State and Nigeria in general.
It would be recalled that Governor Makinde recently presented Onigboho of Igboholand with the traditional beaded crown.
The highlight of the event was the supply of traditional music by the Olubadan Palace entertainers.
