Obas in closed-door meeting with Ajimobi
Following the ruling of an Ibadan high court which nullified all the submissions and recommendations of the Justice Akintunde Boade (rtd) Commission of enquiry which recommended the installation of new Obas in Ibadan, some of the 21 Obas earlier today held a closed-door meeting with Governor Abiola Ajimobi on issues sorrounding peace and stability in Ibadanland.
Our corresponden reports that Otun Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun who spoke with Journalists after the meeting stated that the new obas remained unshaken despite the court judgement.
He disclosed that the issue of the court judgement was not part of the meeting since nothing has changed in the existing arrangement.
Meanwhile, an Ibadan High Court 10 will tomorrow deliver its judgement in a case filed by the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji against the recommendations of Justice Boade (rtd) Commission.
