FG approves 615 pending land applications
The ministry of power works and housing has received approval to clear 615 pending land transactions, mortgage and debentures across the country.
Minister of power, works and housing, Babatunde Fashola made the disclosure after a closed door meeting with acting president Yemi Osinbajo.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, Tuesday Fashola said the approval is to clear accumulated consent for land transactions which has piled up but have not been collected.
The minister explained that letters of land applications and other related matters are now being issued to applicants.
He urged propective collectors to exercise patience with government.
Fashola said the initiative is part of strategies to deliver the nation from the current economic recession.
The minister however maintained that the move will further remove bottlenecks of land acquisition and collection of certificates of occupancy in the country.
