The management and staff of the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo state southeast Nigeria have met with the Imo state governor senator Hope Uzodimma over the prevailing scenarios of land encroachment by members of their host communities on the allocated land meant for the school. 

The delegation led by the provost of the college of medicine, the Vice-Chancellor and other top management staff narrated their ordeal to the governor.

In his response, the governor affirmed the significant effect of the school on Imo state and Nigeria at large while assuring them of a quick intervention by his government to have the anomalies resolved.
