Kaduna NBA Branch Insist on Implementation of Financial Autonomy
It is no longer news that courts across the country have been grounded for over two weeks by JUSUN members who have embarked on industrial action since April 6 in protest against the non-implementation of the judiciary’s financial autonomy, particularly at the state level.
This has led to a peaceful protest to the Kaduna state government house by members of the Nigerian Bar association Kaduna branch where a letter was presented to the governor.
The protest which was led by Samson Audu chairman NBA Kaduna branch calls on the government to do what is right and stops playing politics with important issues.
Samson Audu says it is expected that the government comply with the 1999 constitution and fully implement financial autonomy for the judiciary across the 36 states of the federation.
Some other members of JUSUN have this to say about the ongoing nationwide industrial strike.
