Hacken to positive suggestions- Clergyman tasks FG
As part of the reactions trailing the spate of killings in different parts of Nigeria by suspected herdsmen, a clergy has urged the federal government to adopt positive suggestions in tackling the herdsmen menace in the country.
During the dedication of St. Mark's Catholic Church Uburu, Ihechiowa, in Abia State, the Catholic Bishop of Umuahia Diocese, Lucius Ugorji, called on ‎the Federal Government to take a decisive action against the menace.

Bishop Ugorji, among others who spoke on the situation, wondered why innocent Nigerians should continue to be killed by those who claim to be herdsmen and called for unity among Nigerians.

Recently, the Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu rejected plans by the Federal Government to establish cattle colonies for herdsmen and cows in the state.

Ikpeazu in his view observed that the state do not have enough land for its agricultural activities, therefore cannot afford to offer any to herdsmen.
