Gov Akeredolu Bans Trading at Market Place

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state has banned trading at market centres across the state.

This decision was reached because traders in market centres have fragrantly defiled the social distancing order and have been trading carelessly undermining the danger of COVID-19.

He sets up a timetable for operations at the markets centres especially for those that sell perishable products which are most essential to the people.

Meanwhile, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu commended health workers who have been working assiduously on the front line at the infectious hospital centre including casual workers of which about three of them have contacted coronavirus and are currently placed on isolation.

Governor Akeredolu announced the approval of special hazard allowance for health workers in the state in appreciation of their selfless services during this pandemic period.
